Jamie and Will's Shower

We were definitely in party mode this past weekend. First we had my surprise birthday party on Friday night and then a His/Hers shower at Dave's Pizza on Saturday night for Jamie and Will. They had a great turnout and racked up on of great tools, gadgets, and household items. We can't wait for their big day on May 21!

Valentine’s day picture-I decided that for Valentine’s Day this year I wanted to send out cards with a picture of Peyton on them. Although my sweet baby loves to smile for me, she doesn’t like to smile at the camera. She can be giving me the biggest gummy smile I have ever seen but the second I put that camera up to my eye the smile is gone. I think that it took me three different “photo sessions” of dressing her up in a cute dress and literally taking about 50 pictures each time before I finally managed to get one of her while she was smiling. When I look at the finished product though I am reminded that it was all worth it!

Wednesday, February 2-I have started noticing Peyton becoming more interested in trying to sit up so I decided that it was probably time to pull out the Bumbo . She was sitting pretty good in it at first but it didn’t take too long before she started leaning to the right. The best part of pulling the Bumbo out was watching how excited Ellie was to see something new in P’s room. She usually doesn’t have much to do with Peyton but as soon as she saw P sitting in her bumbo she starting sniffing around and nosing her feet. Despite my best efforts of capturing it in a picture, all I ended up with was a picture of the side of Ellie’s head.

2.5 week checkup

Today we Tuesday nov 9---2.5 week check-up weighing 6 lbs 4 oz and other stats---5^th percentile in weight and height

The hat I had made...

I had a little knitted cap made for Peyton when I was pregnant thinking that she could wear it for her newborn pictures.  Her pictures were coming up so when my mom came over one day this past week we played "dress up" with P.  The cap I had made was definitely too big for her but thank goodness I had a backup hat that my cousin was sweet enough to loan me to use.
